The purpose of the videos in this series is to discuss the three of the most common misconceptions that business owners have about cyber security.

First of these that I’ll be discussing is the idea that small businesses aren’t attractive enough to hackers to be at risk. The reality is that there are many ways hackers can make money off of even very small businesses.

Furthermore, small businesses often have credit card information and private information of clients. Their own data is also extraordinarily valuable to them in their daily operations.

For example, a common exploit is to encrypt the data of the business and then ransom it back to the business itself.

Small businesses are actually very attractive to hackers and are the primary target in approximately half of all cyber-attacks.
